FAQs
Yes, LTA Padel rankings include age-group categories for juniors, alongside the Open and Seniors rankings, with points allocated separately for each age group.
Only tournaments sanctioned by the International Padel Federation count towards a player's FIP world ranking. Domestic British tournaments contribute to a player's national ranking, but not necessarily their world ranking, unless the event carried FIP sactioning.
Gemma Triay and Delfina Brea currently top the FIP women's world rankings, while Agustin Tapia and Arturo Coello are leading the men's rankings.
In Great Britain, Catherine Rose is the women's British No.1, while Christian Medina Murphy is the men's British No.1.
To earn a FIP world ranking, players need to compete in FIP-sanctioned tournaments, such as the CUPRA FIP Tour, Premier Padel Tour or other internationally sanctioned events. Ranking points are awarded based on results at these events and build up a player's FIP world ranking, which updates regularly throughout the season.
